Blech!!!! But Happy Birthday to me!!!! I just turned 29. Its almost unbelievable. I never thought I would ever be 29 but here I am. LOL! It really is hilarious. I will be 30 next year.......................YIKES!! But its all good I guess. I wouldnt want to be older or younger. I am happy at this age I guess.
Life is so funny sometimes thinking back when I was 14 or so I could NEVER imagine being 25 so nonetheless it is laughable I am 4 years MORE than 25. AAAAAAAAHhhhhhhhh well........... I guess with age comes experience and hopefull MATURITY....hehe.......NEVER!!!!! ;0)

Heehee I can just imagine when women get to a certain age they have to get an Avon lady. I think it is an urge that hits them at a certain age, and they NEED to have an Avon lady. Like my mom for instance she needs to have her Avon and her lady always come to her. And she is so upset that her Avon lady is retiring. I 'm like I'm sure you can survive without some Avon products. But she like NO NO!!! I need her. There is no other Avon lady here. So I will have to hold her and help her through this traumatic time and give her love and support as her Avon lady retires. Quintuple Bypass surgury......

Well, Dad had his surgery and it turned out to be a quintuple bypass surgury so he was pretty blocked up. The surgeon said he was "this close" from having a heart attack. Well it was a longer surgury than expected and when they tried to take him off the heart machine around his heart, they couldn't do it because the heart didn't know how to respond to so much blood flowing to it. So they have a balloon in his heart and the machine is monitering it and helping with the pumping. Also they will try to take him off the ventilator tomorrow after lots of sleep tonight. I missed everything because I was quarantined away from the family because of my cold. So I went yesterday to be with Kara for her court date. Man, those court rooms are INTIMIDATING!! She made a peace bond with Tim Bell and it will be put through on Friday. Kara was pretty freaked out today.
So all in all its been a really crappy weekend and week. One I will be glad that it will be over with and if this cold is gone by Friday I can go and see Dad. He will be in the ICU for a couple more days. I miss him. It so sucks to be so out of control and not being able to be with mom and dad and the rest of the family............AUUUUUUUGHHHHH!!! God help me!!!

Yuck!!! My head is so full of cold right now. I feel restless and sick. At least I have Buckley's, I hope it will help. Also Neo Citron is really good too and it relaxes the sore muscles. And on top of that dad gets admitted for surgury into the hospital, so it is NOT a good time to be sick. Dean is driving mom and dad to the hospital and I'll come a bit later. But the thing is, even though I can be there for the surgury I won't be able to go in and see dad after the surgury. THAT SUX!!! I mean I am so concerned about his quadruple bypass surgury.......This sux............

College Daze!

Oh man I am lovin the college life. I mean its so great to learn new things and then put them into practice hands on. Today was lab for Practical Support Worker. It was so cool to get right in there and clean the dentures, and the "anatomically" correct dolls. Well, human sized dolls. With all their proper gender, interchangeable body parts. Also learning to make the beds and clean the dentures, clean footsies, giggling while we took on this new task. I washed Karens feet and it was cool. Not really a hard thing to do. I am really looking forward to going on placement, because that is when we actually get to put into real life all the practice we have done.
It's so great, I really can't wait for placement.....................

College!!!

Well, as of 12 am I am officially a college student. How exciting!!! How scary!! Oh well, I really like the campus and the people there are really nice at Georgian College in Owen Sound. So its gonna be fun and such a DIFFERENT adventure as I have never been in the public school system. So we'll see how that goes but I aim to be at the top of the class and win an award by the end of the 2 semesters. PSW work looks challenging yet fun. Working with the elderly and sick as a personal support worker. I am really excited yet scared. Tomorrow is like a frosh day or an introductory day starting with a pancake breakfast and ending with a dance..........

Sitting here on the last night of my adventures here in Toronto I can't help but have some feelings of nostalgia and great memories (and some not so hot ones) of the last few years that I have been here in Toronto. It's great to have change and have some new memories to make, but of course I will miss my home here and my first "official" apartment. It has been great and having a rockin' roomie has also helped a lot in these memories(thanks Laurie, you rock!!!) and going back up North is exciting and I am looking forward to building a life up there and having a new place closer to the family...........
Walkerton, Mildmay, Hanover hopefully holds a job that I can live with or some sort of employment that is ok and it should be cool having this new way of life. I'm excited yet feeling trepidition at the same time hoping that the future holds great things as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, yes it's official. I am moving out of the city of Toronto which I have called home for 5 years. I am moving on Saturday morning and my brother, Dean is coming to help and another guy as well and it sounds like we'll have lots of help in Mildmay as well. I think Justin and his girlfriend are going to help as well.
I am so excited to be moving back up to Bruce county and all the grandeur of Northern Ontario living. Sure it may not be as flashy as Toronto but it has its good points too. Like no smog, no fear of being raped or murdered...........lol!! Lots of good points, and also a lower cost of living(WOOHOO!!).
Its going to be a big move and I have to pack all my dishes today and finish up my room today as well. It's amazing to see how much junk you collect over 5 years and objects that you have not touched in ages and never will again. So I have tossed a LOT of junk out and gotten rid of a lot of stuff I'll never use again.
So I'll update later about the move!! Wish me luck!!!!!

Well I guess the conclave was a success as it took less that 2 days to elect the new pope. He was really Pope John Paul's right hand man so I guess the rest of the cardinals had the right idea in mind to elect him. He goes by the name Pope Benedict the 16th. Ok So We were sitting there having lunch and then all of the sudden we hear this argument breaking out and accross from the food court the older man from the dollar store and this young teenager are fighting and we all figure she might have stolen something and it is escelating into a VERY LOUD heated argument and all of the sudden the girl is like karate kicking this older man from the store and we are all like "what the hell"? It was quite the sight to see. And I saw him limping around after. And of course the security guys were called and the police were called so I'm sure she got into some sort of trouble. I mean thats like physical assault! And not 5 minutes later this lady falls backwards in the same store over some boxes and she goes flying! I was like this store has a curse over it or somethig........jeez!!! Anyways it made for a very interesting lunch. Also we had a draw at work today for the DVD Spanglish and I only had 4 tickets. So Richard won it of course, because I don't win anything.....sigh!!! Oh well. Such is life................

HEHE!! Well, I called and cancelled work today I was too sick. I knew I wasn't going to make it overnight because I was waking up with a really sore throat and I woke up sounding like a man....heehee. So I called in sick because with telemarketing your voice is your main tool, so I knew that wasn't going to work out well.But I got a load of laundry done last night so that was good and I think I can go to my Monday night meeting tonight so I'm looking forward to some good worship and time with my Monday night group.

HEHE!!! He was soooooo cute. 2 nights ago I was out back having a smoke and there was this cute little racoon and I whipped a piece of bread to him like a frisbee and he sniffed it and ran away with it. He was so cute. He lives in the park behind my place here.
Anyhoo work is going well, I did 5 sells yesterday and I have today off(thank god!!) and telesales is so high pressure to sell but I love it when I get a sell. It's like winning the lottery or playing a casino. You make hundreds of calls and you never know which one will be the winner. I have better luck with the men and then I have the wives bitching me out saying your not going to talk to my husband. Like as if I am going to cause your marriage to split up if I talk to your man!! HAHA!! Its so funny actually. Nizar and Carol were let go during transition, so I guess they didn't have the magic touch that the people at Gemma are looking for. So its me, Mikey, Lorraine, Susana, and Faiza left now. I love my team. And we joined the allready existing team and I like my manager. He seems like a cool cat even thought I only worked with him once but I think we'll get along ok....................

Oh man what a bit of shocking news......My friend Will has been diagnosed with cancer and I was so shocked as he said he had a mini stroke yesterday and they found cancer while in the hospital and now he has to have surgury and Chemo as well. I'm going to go see him tonight and I had to cancel plans with Joanna, because we were going to see a movie. But seeing a friend whos in the hospital is way more important. Also I can't visualise him in the hospital. I can only imagine him at home and me arriving to go hang out and talking with his awesome family. *Sigh* This is such a downer. Also he asked for all my prayers and of course I will gladly pray for him and my moms prayer line is on this as well. The enemy has crossed enough boundaries and he gets me soooo pissed off. You will not claim his life in Jesus' name amen. And Father we give you all the praise and the glory through this situation and your name will be glorified through this! Amen.......

Ok First I want to talk about the Movie "Mean Girls." It is soooooooo good and has so many truths about how people see each other and not to judge each other and accept people for who they are and not what Gucci they wear or what "bling, bling" they have.
And I wanted to say last night me and my friends had worship time and prayer for one another and it was so awesome as I had gone there totally dry and not feeling the "spirit move." But I came out of there refreshed and renewed and it was totally unpretentious and just a bunch of brothers and sisters getting together. No hype, no nothing. All there for the same purpose which is to seek God's face and spend time with Him!! WOO HOO!! I love these times and I find them to be so important. As someone who is sick of "church" and all the stuff that goes on in behind the scenes.
I guess its an escape from the ordinary.........
Also I got Third Day and Toby Mac Tickets and that should be a blast!! Canada's Wonderland, here I come. It's October 3rd and it should be a good time......

I was calling all my siblings for Thanksgiving and I hope they can all make it. I love Thanksgiving. It is one of my favorite holidays because all the leaves are changing and it has beautiful sunsets and we all get together for Thanksgiving and have one of Mama's turkey's so I hope all can make it on the weekend I picked. I'm working for CTF that week so I hope they can all come for the 16th.
I'm trying to decide if I want to stay home this weekend or go up North to dog sit the new puppy MAggie. Mighty tempting because she is so cute and I would love to spend time playing and cuddling with her.......hmmmmm. We'll see.

Wow What a great weekend, perfect weather and beautiful sun shining most of the days that I went up to my parents and I went all day Saturday to Dean and Tracy's to see the new puppy, Maggie. She is so cute and I got to feed her treats when she peed or pood outside, and you really have to praise her for being such a good puppy every time she did her "duty" every time outside. I was thinking how weird that must have been for our parents when we were potty training. You know the "praise" must happen and it's a little awkward at first but then it becomes quite amusing and you chuckle at yourself. It's HILARIOUS!!
Good Maggie!!! Good Maggie you went peepee out side!!! WOW!! Well imagine how much we'll praise you if you do a poo poo!!! LOL!!

The Future!

Well, I was just thinking of mortality and the end of our simple lives. Also thinking of the future and what future generations will see. What their lives will be like. Will it be like a science fiction movie? Like will there be no people with glasses or no fat people ( oh god I wish!) and will they ever find a cure for the common cold or will they find a cure for cancer? Will cars change? I also think of how insignifigant my life is in the grand scheme of things like I just try to think of the galaxy and how huge it is and how small we actually are and why the human race even got here. Like I know God created us but it blows my mind when I think about the bigger picture of things and yet we are sooooo small. Like grains of sand in retrospective of the galaxies. We are small but yet we have the fight in us, the passion to live, the love that is in each of us. How our hearts can break and yet the ability to wage war with each other and kill each other in war and abortion. Be so loving yet so destructive at the same time. Man, it blows my mind!!! The future will always be interesting to me, like I think of my parents and that my mom had never gotten a tv till she was 13 and she used to go to sock hops and she listened to Elvis when he first came out, like that blows my mind in itself. So I wonder when our children ask us about Nirvana or September 11th and that there was no computers when we were young.LOL!! Ok enough rambling!!!!XOXOXO

I was just thinking of how music has changed over my lifetime. Like how when I was really young there was records and I listened to the Cabbage Patch Kids records and such and then 8 tracks when I listened to BJ Thomas and Evie in my parents cars (Mercuries) because they actually had 8 track players and then cassettes were huge and I bought a lot of them when I was 10-13 or 14 and then cd's and now the computer age has hit us and now everything is digital and itune players will be had by all so I'm wondering what will be next after this or is this the end of technology(HAHA as if!). SO it'll be exciting to see what happens and the generation gap between me and my parents widen by the years as my mom is completely computer illiterate and she hates computers. But my dad is hip and he gets jiggy with his computer. So it's awesome to see the elders getting into it!!

Ooooooh today is a perfect day to read a book!! Nice and cool and kinda looks like it's going to rain. I remember when I stayed with the Mennonites (for 5 years) they had great days like this and on the farm after chores we would read out loud a really cool story and we would all listen while knitting or drawing. Sigh, I'm totally reminiscing, LOL! It seems like a dream so long ago.......Well, this weekend is shaping up to be pretty good. I have a Bday party to go to of a family friend and relative through marriage. He is turning 65 and he is my Sis-in-Laws dad. Wow, that sounds like a Jerry Springer episode.....haha. Then my sister is going up to my parents on Saturday so it'll be nice to see her again. As long as she stays on my good side!!Mwaaa haha!! YOu know how it is with siblings.............

This is the Port Elgin Beach on Lake Huron. This is where I grew up till I was 9. This is where I played and went down that yellow slide many, many times when I was a child. swam for the first time right there. The fries there were awesome but the Seagulls would steal them all!!!

MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE!!!! I HIGHLY recommend this movie!! It is so good. Very good storyline and excellent acting! I have never seen the 1962 original but I loved this new one. I give it 8 out of 10 stars.It is one of my top 10 movies of all time now.

I went home for lunch and had boring soup for lunch and to watch a snippet of All My Children. It's funny how you can watch it once a week and find that the story is still the same. Soap Operas are so dumb and boring. I don't know why I bother!!! But I need to find out what happens to Bianca and her baby and that she gets him back and that Babe will realize that it is actually Biancas baby!! LOL!! So funny........
I also had a good report today that my niece became a Christian and she accepted Jesus into her heart because I had asked her if she had ever done that. And she said she had so that is quite exciting!!

Oh man!! I wait in anticipation all week for this beautiful day, but this week not only is it Friday but it is also payday. So I could whatever I want!!HEHE!! Well, then reality hits and I have to pay bills!!Awwwww......oh well. Poor little me, Waa!Waa!! Tear tear........cry!!
I can barely see the screen right now as my eyes are still puffy from this morning and I haven't drunken my entire coffee as of yet so I am waiting for that to kick in. I was out late last night because the gang and I went to see The Village by M.Night Shamalayan and it was AWESOME! I highly recommend it to anybody! The one part in the movie made me scream out loud and I think I scared everyone worse than the movie did, but it was really scary and you know how loud theatres are nowadays!! Anyways it was great. C.

Hmmmm, I'm sitting here thinking I should write about something but I can't really think of anything.............
Well, I'm having tons of fun with my digital cam and blogging and I really enjoy it and taking random pictures is so fun and I don't really care if people get annoyed with me (mwaa ha ha ha) that means you Jay!!! LOL!
It's such a beautiful day with nice warm weather with a cool breeze...this is my kind of weather and I heard that down in Texas they get 110 degrees weather!! I can't believe it! I would absolutely DIE! I guess having an air conditioner would be mandatory there. But I would rather have the heat than having tornados like in Oklahoma (Mike and Wendy!).
I would love to have a day off like this and go walk down at the Lake Shore but I am reserved to going down in the evening. Me and my roomie Laurie went to Starbucks one night and went down to the Lakeshore and chatted for a couple of hours about our child hood and how we listened to Psalty the Singing Song book.....LOL!! OMG!!What fun!!
Going down to the Lakeshore and chilling is part of a right of passage to live here in Toronto as well as going to the CN Tower and seeing a Jays game as well. But this year I am dreaming of Toronto Maple Leaf tickets but with the strike looming I may have to wait awhile on that one.
But its so weird living here in the Metropolis of Toronto as I grew up in a town of 4600 named Walkerton. I mean Toronto is massive!! SO big and with so much to do in it! I love it! I seem to be liking it more and more as time passes and it is relitavely safe too I guess. But it rocks!

I have a ton of videos collecting dust on my shelf with the tape inside them rotting away day by day!LOL! DVD's have taken over in a big way but I guess I'll just have to trash them or give them away......Maybe I'll bring them to work and write FREE on a box and put it in the Lobby and I'm sure a lot of them will disappear.
SO anyways I better go program my VCR and get the show I need for my yet another addiction!!LOL! Well, actually I look forward to this show every summer and they always come up with a new twist and this year its the "Project DNA"(I say in a loud thunderous voice). Its where they have a set of twins competing in this and they are trading off or taking turns and no one is the wiser and if they can pull it off both of the twins will enter the house for competition.........Now, there are 2 other twins in the house and they have identical twins as well so what I'm figuring is that the other twins will enter the house as well. But you never know!!!!!!!!!! Oh that crazy world of Big Brother!!!
At least the host looks like she ate a sandwich or 2 over the past year and she doesn't look as emanciated as last year. I was worried for her as she got skinnier and skinnier over the last season. She looks healthier now.......

OMG!! Timmies is so addictive. It's so weird because I watched a documentry about Timmies coffee and other coffies and they scientifically proved there is nothing addictive like nicotine in their coffee and oddly enough, Second Cup Coffee has the highest caffeine ratio...........So why is Timmies so addictive? A voodoo hex? a curse from a Columbian coffee god? or what?? Why am I addicted? Also why are there so many like me that are also addicted to it?
I once heard a joke that you are a true Canadian if you can balance a coffee and drive while smoking a cigarrette and if you are a TRUE ,TRUE ,HARDCORE Canadian, you can smoke while drinking a Timmies while talking on a cell phone!!!LOL!!
HAHA!! Well, I don't know about that but I love Their coffee so yummy and coffee-like and so much caffeine that it makes me happy like a schoolgirl!!!

Sigh!! So here is my music blog as I need to tell of my love for music. It's hard to describe as I play drums and guitar and lead worship myself but I have always had a special connection to music ever since I was a little girl. Always listening to the beat especially which is probably why I took up drums as my primary instrument. But the funny thing was, I was raised in a very strict christian environment where no TV or Radio was allowed when I was young. But I did smuggle in some Cranberries and Madonna and stuff like that and I was eventually allowed to listen to DC Talk and the Newsboy(who I still love). But Music has always been the forbidden fruit and something that I've always loved sooooooooo much.
But anyhoo I am listening to Avril Lavigne's new cd and it is so good. She is such a good songwriter and musician for being so young and she is CANADIAN!!! OW!!!!
I would go see her live but I can just imagine all the little kids that will be there screaming their heads off!!LOL!! I'm too old to do that! I'll stick to my Bowie and Radiohead concerts!

Complain??!! Moi??!!

I'm still on this thing about the complaining. But I talked to a friend about it and she really inspired me to keep a positive attitude and the change may start with ME!!!
But the thing is I am affected by things that are around me, say like my environment at home or at work. I need to feel the love and I love to feel the love and hug and touch and positive words and giving thanks in all things. Like I said before I nedd to change this myself and be positive and the outcome will be different and I will try and make people happy around me and I know that some people might think this is a masking of true feelings. But I really feel it is a vital part of our life to keep happy and think positive things and try to thank God for all the beauty around us.
I just watch Joni Erickson Tada http://www.joniandfriends.org/last night on Larry King Live. For those of you who don't know who she is, she had a diving accident when she was young that left her quadrapalegic(sp?) and she gives thanks to God each day even though she may wake up not feeling good but she asks God to help her face the day. She is an inspiration to me in this area.
Anyways I think we could have a lot more serious things to complain and moan about, say if we lost our sight or mobility and such. So GIVE THANKS!!! Thank you God!!! You are awesome and I love you!!

Nothing bugs me more than someone who thinks the world revolves around them and they think that anyone that they run into during the day in public that they can unload on them.
What I mean is complaining about stuff from morning till night. God give me grace to deal with this situation. I mean we are to be examples of Jesus and give mercy to people. I know I'm not perfect as well. But I mean give people a break!!!!AUGH!!!

Leaders School of Ministry!

I recently attended the TACF Leaders School of Ministr www.tacf.org and it was sooooooooo awesome!!! God did so much and I met lots of new friends from all over the world. Such as Germany, France, Netherlands, etc. It has been sooooo awesome.
You see the school is for Christian people who have been in leadership and such and you learn about the love of God and all that he has for you and you learn to Communicate with God more and get those things healed up in your heart from past hurts and the prophetic and the Father Heart of God and how much He loves you.
There is nothing I can do but let Him love me and there is always hope because of that and no matter how crappy I'm feeling and how I'm struggling with things in my life I know that God loves me and He will forever no matter what I say and do!!!!

Wow!! A new Thing

Well this is new to me! My name is Christa and I wanted to start a blog as I just got a cool Digital camera and I like to have fun with it. So I am looking forward to posting pics of me and my friends and my family.
As you probably know the name of my Blog is TVC1515 and that is because I love David Bowie and his music so I'll probably write a lot about him and put pics up too. I also love Newsboys, U2, Beatles, and Radiohead.
I am a musician and I love music of all sorts so I think that a lot of what I talk about will be about music. Speaking of, I play drums tonight at TACF, a wicked church here near the airport where I also work.
